confessions from a whatiffer

Life is absolutely full of what ifs. All day, all questions...
I have to go grocery shopping? What if all the moms go at once and it's crowded with screaming kids?
I need shorts? What if they're not on sale anymore?
He just woke up from a nap? What if he's still tired?

Anyway, as life gets more complicated, so do the what ifs.
We want to buy a house? What if I don't really have a job in 5 weeks?

Here's to rising above the what ifs and making brave (and wise) decisions.

Thats called being a pessimist. A whatiffer could also say "what if all the groceries are free today" or "what if I get a promotion in 5 weeks." In either case, whatiffing is not as important as what you said: "rising above." Good call.

haha - jesse - that is really insightful, actually.

as a self-proclaimed pessimist (realist i say) i too think similarly. but brave and wise are not exclusive. it's a brave thing to be wise and wise thing to be brave.

we'll make the right call.
